GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) represents a pivotal change in Data Protection and comes into force on 25th May 2018. It is a European Directive but will be implemented, irrespective of our EU Status, and all preparations must be completed by that date.
GDPR brings a raft of new requirements, penalties and considerations in handling personal data and requires all Businesses, Schools, Organisations, Charities & Public Bodies to reconsider how they process, store and protect data.
The key to GDPR is Training, Policies, Procedures, Reviews and Enforcement within an Organisation.
Cyber Security should be at the core of any data handling and storage system, with good cyber security providing many of the answers to surviving GDPR.
Cyber Security should also be at the core of IoT and UIoT and any automated system.
